Welcome to Mainz

The 2000 year old city of Mainz is centrally located in the heart of Europe, at the banks of the Rhine River, and in the middle of the larger Frankfurt/Rhine-Main region.

Mainz is quickly accessible by Europe’s second largest airport in Frankfurt, by road, rail, or even ship. With Germany’s fifth-largest university Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, two universities of applied sciences, and a number of medical treatment centers and research-oriented companies, Mainz is a dynamic center of scientific research and development.
