Embedded in Germany’s biggest wine-growing area, Mainz is Germany’s wine capital.

Since 2008, Mainz and its region have been members of the international network Great Wine Capitals, playing in the same league with famous wine centers like Bordeaux, Florence, Porto, Bilbao, Mendoza, Cape Town, and San Francisco with the Napa Valley.
